La Tribu des Airaudes · Vendée, France
Meet our LOF Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Shelties and Golden Retrievers in Vendée, France. Parent health records, litters and support for puppy families.
Here, every litter is a family story. Our dogs share our daily lives in Vendée. We raise, socialise and care for our puppies with attention, helping them prepare for life with their future families.
La Tribu des Airaudes is our home and business name. Du Domaine des Airaudes is our registered kennel affix. Both names belong to the same tribe.
Cavaliers, Shelties and Golden Retrievers have different personalities and needs. We apply the same care to health, temperament and wellbeing, while choosing the right approach for each breed.
Every pairing is considered in light of health, temperament, ancestry and how the parents complement one another. Genetic tests help us understand our lines and preserve diversity. Clinical examinations provide information that DNA alone cannot give.
Our work includes cardiac monitoring, eye examinations, breed-appropriate joint checks and participation in MRI research on syringomyelia with Oniris in Nantes. Breeding dogs' reports can be consulted at our home. No breeder can promise lifelong freedom from disease.
We start by getting to know your household, daily routine and expectations. We introduce the litter and parents, discuss temperament, send news as the puppies grow, and prepare the move together. We remain available after your puppy joins you.
A female enters our breeding programme after LOF confirmation, her examinations and an assessment of her temperament. Physical fitness, maternal behaviour and her experience of each litter guide our decisions.
Our females generally have no more than three or four litters. After a large litter or difficult birth, we favour a full year of rest. Many have only two litters when that is the better choice for them.
Our dogs take part in shows in France and abroad. Discover Bisou, a Luxembourg and Bosnia champion, Ultraviolet, a Bosnia champion, and Hope, a junior Bosnia champion. Show results complement health records and everyday knowledge of each dog.
We offer boarding and grooming in Saint-Urbain, with appointments arranged directly. Educational follow-up is reserved for families who have welcomed one of our puppies.
Explore our breed guides, health resources and free introduction to becoming a dog breeder. The training resource has 12 modules and a downloadable French workbook.
