Meet La Tribu des Airaudes in western France
We are professional breeders with a family approach in Saint-Urbain, Vendée. Our registered kennel affix is Du Domaine des Airaudes. Our dogs share our daily lives, and we take time to discuss each household's expectations before a puppy reservation.
If you live outside France, start by telling us your country, the breed you are considering, your household and your preferred period. This lets us discuss the individual project before you arrange a journey.
What does LOF mean?
LOF stands for Livre des Origines Français, the French pedigree studbook maintained by the Centrale Canine. A puppy's LOF birth certificate records its registration; the definitive pedigree follows the French confirmation process. Pedigree registration and health screening answer different questions.
Our individual dog profiles link to official LOF Select records when available. Ask us about the documents relevant to the particular puppy and check any registration procedure with the kennel club in your destination country.
Read the parents' health records
Ask for the actual dated examinations and genetic results. For Cavaliers, cardiac follow-up, CM/SM MRI, eye checks and relevant DNA results answer different questions. For Goldens, consider hips, elbows, eyes and appropriate DNA tests. Sheltie results include breed-specific eye and genetic screening, including MDR1.
Read results in the context of the individual dog, its age and family history. Clear results for a tested variant do not guarantee lifelong freedom from disease. We explain the published records and can discuss the original documents with you.
Show results you can trace to the dog
Our dogs take part in shows in France and abroad. Bisou is a Luxembourg and Bosnia champion; Ultraviolet is a Bosnia champion, and Hope a junior Bosnia champion. Their October 2026 trip is documented with photographs and individual results.
Titles describe show achievements. They complement health records, temperament and knowledge of the line; they do not replace them.
Prepare a visit and the journey before agreeing a date
Visits to Les Airaudes, 85230 Saint-Urbain, are by appointment. Contact us before booking transport or accommodation so we can discuss the litter, availability and timing together.
A puppy's move linked to a sale or transfer of ownership must not simply be assumed to follow the rules for a holiday with an existing pet. The route and destination determine the checks to make with the competent authorities and veterinarian. Confirm the required documents and permitted timing before making travel commitments.
